the word 'kawen'

miss me? took a very long leave of absence from blogging..i guess i didn't [ still dun act ] have the time and i concentrated on my diary [ private stuff hehe ] but..

i have been to two weddings of my frens for this month.. both were very special in their own way and i wish them all the happiness in the world but i feel that there is this itch that i must address..dun worry this is a general posting not connected to anyone [ tho sum might terase =) ]..i need to layan the very rare times i am matured and this is one of dem. bear this with me.

KAHWIN
what does this word mean to you??
for me it symbolizes a lifelong commitment that needs a lot of thinking and two matured people who know what they are going through.
bt let's start with what is the usual basis of marriage: another word with many other emotions linked to it; LOVE

to those who have just started a relationship and are in the 'kentut wangi' phase, i am happy for you and i'd like u to cherish the relationship.. from one girl to another: dun let the small things hurt u and sumtimes ur girls are not always right. listen to your heart. for the boys: every girl is special in thier own way, be honest in your relationship and dun play around. respect them.

for those who are mending thier hearts: i know it is hard to forget the one you love, but why dwell on the past tho u think u will nvr find somebody better for u? if he/ she is stupid enuf to treat u like rubbish then they are surely not worth it. cut all connections: delete thier messages, thier facebook, thier pictures. the faster u forget the faster u move on. it might be hard, but pain heals no matter how long it takes.

anyone out there waiting for sumone? think bout it people, are they worth ur time to admire in secret or have a scandal with? if they are, then let time take it's course but pay attention, u might find they are not suited for u or perfect for u. if they are not, then y the hell are u wasting ur time?

now back to the word kahwin, a topic where there are a lot of mixed pendapats.
mama says it's better to know ur husband after u get married coz there is no batasan but jgn laa xknal langsong
papa says GET TO KNOW HIM BFORE U THINK OF GETTING MARRIED <-- in that tone i tell you and then looks at me with this serious expression. comel laa papa.
personally, i respect the people who go through an arranged marriage or know thier respected other halves not so much before they get married. then u wun get bored kn? but so to say, i xde laa dh experience anything kn =)

as i was saying, some of us are pressured to get married. those who thier frens see that the couple are like pinang dibahagi due, or the profs who dun like couples in the first place or those who are pressumed of the right 'marital age' atau pon the first child. or those who pressure themselves thinkin that it is thier time to get married.
btw i know every girl out there has thier wedding planned in thier heads, whether die dh jmpe the right one ker x =)

the ones yg others pressure them to get married: saba je laa. to be patient is a virtue, remember? so when they talk, listen n nod. or choose to ignore. it is up to u, dun let thier words get into ur head.

sape yg gian sgt nk kawen tue: dun u think that there is a reason u are not married yet? i believe that for those that haven't found thier other halves are in store for sumone so great that they will not regret taking thier own time.

sum people pulak so egoistically say that no man/ woman is worth thier time. i dun think u want to look back or see your friends so happy with thier partners and feel sorry for urself. usually those who claim to not need others are the ones who secretly long for someone to be beside them.

lastly sape yg are planning thier wedding: DUN FORGET TO INVITE ME!

fuuuuhh, so glad that i typed all this. now tell me what you think.
