jare and ern

from left: bugsy, pez, me, ern, jare and aizad

ya Allah, how i'm blessed to have such marvelous friends!

met jare, ern, pak lang, aizad, pez, and anis with bugsy for buka at madam kwans~let me introduce you to them:

jare is this wonderful girl with style that eats a lot but is so mega kurus ( jealous much! )

while ern is this amazing saver and clever girl who just got relocated from Miri back to Kl after having a tearful farewell :)

pak lang is this sweet guy who has flawless skin and aizad is mins brother ( bash's friend ) and is soo cute in braces and looks like a working MAN now

we, alongside with anny have been friends since matriculation ( 2006 )..
with much guilt, i have to say i haven't met them for at least two years and i can say that i have missed a lot. it was time to introduce bugsy ( a little drama in the beginning with him bout me and my angry ways, i have never seen him so sad bout me but it's all good now, i think i won't be that selfish again ) and he passed!! ( as you always do, don't you bugsy mon cher )

it was bliss just to lepak, talk and gush over how kurus everyone except me is and how almost everyone has started working ( another point to be jealous about ), it was also nice to reminisce about our silly ways in matriculation and how different we are now. did a little shopping, ate and laugh a LOT.

sigh, i miss them already :)

don't make me get irritated so easily when it's such a small thing
let what i have assumed so far to be wrong and that we are and have been the same

another revelation

funny how everytime i meet him i end up knowing something new about him. was home alone ( everyone had buka plans ), practically wanted to force bugsy to buke with me, but he ended up asking me to buka wit him first ( see what i mean by telepathy? ) and this time zahir came along! see, these two people are the most famous boys in my books. both i value, but each for different aspects of course.

so we went to Village View in bangi, nice restaurant which had wifi and a HUGE chicken chop.gleefully ate kerang rebus, nasi lemak and satay, and watched Trade on Star Movies while the both on them were diligently on their laptops completing their PMS. imagine how cool it was for me, having nothing to do :)

behold: please note their serious faces ( which usually don't appear unless they are playing football manager or counter strike ) this is a rare event people :)

bugsy: which contraception is the best?

zahir: pelvic pain, pelvic pain, AARRGGHHHH!!! with the kerang rebus beside him

as you might have guessed, they are in the obstetrics and gynaecology posting at the moment..if the both of u read this, PEACE in advance :) am not going to sleep with a full stomach and a happy heart..goodnyte..

iftar- 2nd session

last week the DPP girls and boys did a potluck for iftar on friday, yesterday it was the girls of the whole batchs turn at our house in collaboration with Haz's birthday. that night i was so proud of being a member of this batch. the menu was coordinated in between the chefs of the batch ( mainly zarra, hanum and salwa ) and my housemates and i cleaned the house ( we had to makesure that if anyone went up, they would not see clutter!! ) and we did maghrib, isyak and terawih together..we also presented the VERY special birthday cake made by kay eye for haz ( sweet gile! ) a cake batik that we metaphorically said shows how his heart is- hard on the outside, but soft in the inside.

needless to say, it was a very very enjoyable night full of laughter and food! we ended the night with a tazkirah given by roi and i think cleaned up for a while until we were all tergelimpangan on the floor, asleep :) i am proud and blessed to have such friends..

sneak peek at just how much food was prepared- curry, tempoyak, rendang, ayam goreng..

continued with ikan keli, nasi goreng, meehun goreng.. ( makes me hungry just thinking bout it! )

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

p/s: loads of pics were taken, but they cn only be exclusively viewed if u see roi, since our antics were displayed in them :)

uncertainty and assurance

i was feeling unsure about something, i thought i had made the wrong choice. to back out would be dumping a bomb on to both of us and i was really confused. so today after Terawih i asked for a sign..and i got it 10 minutes later :)

alhamdulillah, now i can be reassured.
this has happened at least two times.

phrases of the day

interesting day today.

went to the psychiatric ward at HKL to clerk patients for my exam tomorrow. ended up with two who are likely to be discharged tomorrow ( pray that i sempat take them for my exam ) sighhhh

but the most interesting part was two phrases i heard today:

1. psychiatric patient ( diagnosed wit relapsed schizo bt we think has bipolar ):

APA ITU SAYANG?

2. bugsy at 7.26pm minutes before buka:

MEE BANDUNG SAYE DATANG SEKARANG!!

the first one left me speechless for a couple of seconds coz i didn't know how to answer..the second one made me smile ( while i imagined his excitement running towards the table )

p/s: i have to study both bipolar and schizophrenia today..aiyooooooooooo

the role of women

i know i am not qualified as yet to discuss this in detail, but i'd just like to touch on the subject.

In Islam, a woman's role is to act as a good daughter, wife and mother.

Imam Ahmad recorded that 'Abdur Rahman bin Awf said that Muhammad s.a.w said: ' if the woman prayed her daily five prayers, fasted her month, protected her chasity and obeyed her husband, she will enter Paradise from any of it's doors '

i am sure that all of us women ( if not girls ) pray to be one of the women stated above. however, i'd like to ask what is the role of the women for a man in Islam?

we have all heard the saying: beside ( not behind ) every successful man, there is a woman.

women are actually very powerful people, when a man trusts and respects a woman he will listen and follow her advice. he will turn to her for advice as a confidant as well as a partner. this could carry a huge burden on women as she has to not only be fair, but ensure that her advice is good and beneficial for him. it is also said that women are more matured than men that same age, though it depends on experience and that emotions always get the better of women, she can't think straight thus men make better leaders.

the point that i am trying to make is that though men have a lot of responsibilities ( they have to provide financially, secure their children education and provide a dowry ), it is important as well for the women in their lives to be wise. i can't say anything for the men who don't listen to their wives, i don't have that experience as yet. but men who do listen rely on their wives for input, ideas and solutions for everything need it be simple choices to their views on Islam . it's a sign of partnership and respect, so we (the unwed ) as women should get ready for that task. we should lower down our emotions, find a way to think more coherently and embrace the responsibility we will have in the future beside our husband. we have to know our own stuff and not just rely on men to teach us because sometimes they need guidance to and if u have a good man ( insyaallah we all will ) they will listen to us.

btw, selamat berpuase! ( down ngn uterus sendiri )

here are some pics i took while the others were terawihing at masjid putrajaya ( it's seriously a cool masjid becuase it's fully aircond and BEAUTIFUL ) and tq fana for giving me such a pretty belated birthday present

cambodia

some people might know that i am goin to cambodia along with my mates to sunat people there from the 23rd-26th september this year. so i thought, might as well do my homework ekh.. so here are some pointers to you people who don't know any thing about Cambodia ( i was one of them until this moment )

the country was first called Kampuchia ( derived from Sanskrit ), it was changed to Cambodia by the English

The language they speak is the Khmer language, and they have a special way of writing called the Khmer script.

Their currency is called the Riel, and they frequently do business with american dollars as well

Their population consists of 90% buddhists and 10% muslims and christians

Their official flower is called the Romdoul, which is a flower from the soursop family

and lastly, to say I love you to a guy in Khmer language:

Bong sra-lun oun na, to a girl: Oun sra-lun bong na

Good nyte people and have a nice week!!

sex education

mimi and the team counselors

so had a very enjoyable day with my housemates, decided to join the Training for Trainers using the LPPKN module for secondary school kids to teach them about sex education. it had two modules by the name: I'm in Control

1. sexuality

2. abstinence

for me, it was really thorough while being simple enough for secondary school students whilst being interactive. i'm sure everyone knows about teenage pregnancies, babies being thrown away in the dustbin and etc. while i still don't understand how mothers can do this ( with the exception of the mentally retarded ) i think this issue has long been overdue. as usual in malaysia, we address issues late but at least we address the issue.
so the module was interactive as well as educational, we had three team counselors from LPPKN who guided us using the three modules. we had interactive sessions, role plays and also a long question-answer session with them.

me and eda
of course, nothing is perfect. i think the module addressed girls more than boys, my personal view is that sometimes boys can become victims as well. they also do not discuss on different religious aspects of it ( while i do agree that a lot of Malays are involved, it's because Malays make the most of the population in Malaysia ). Also, @teen cafe's are not strategically placed, i think they should be run by adolescents for adolescents.

everyone paying attention

they are also making another model for parents ( accessing the starting point of these problems ) which is vital. in conclusion, i'd have no wains in committing myself into this program. it is a very important issue because these girls or boys do not realize how special and precious they are. they do not have to prove their love to anyone via sex of anything connected to it.

anyone interested can go to this site:

ok, am off to watch Salt wit my housemates!
