gud luck nadiah!

so this posting is dedicated to my 3rd sister:

NADIAH KHAIRIL ANWAR

this morning while i was sleeping on zayds bed, she woke me up at 5.50 am with these words: ' kakak hannan tak pegi skola lagie ker? '
i was about to retort that question when i looked at her worried face and realized that today would be one of the most crucial days she would remember.

her PMR.

so i asked her, nadiah ok x? and she said she didn't sleep the whole night. i understand how scary it must be for her. she has worked hard for her exams, we wanted to make a big banner for her but i guess both sisters were so tired.
what papa did was that he wrote on our family white board

let us all pray for princess nadiah to get 8as in her PMR ameen

and all of us wrote ameen in our own handwriting [ mama siap buat jawi lagie! ]
so what i'd like to say is that

you have worked so hard for the past few months
with all the sleepless nights and worried expressions
all the ' u have to get 8as ' that we have said
we accept anything u do
coz we know you did ur best

nads, make our family proud
8a's : ameen, insyaAllah

just read

this is a qoute from an article that bugs forwarded to me. it was a story bout a 21 yr old lady having terminal cancer who insisted on not cancelling her wedding plans in spite of going through hours of chemotheraphy. she had a magnificent wedding and died 5 days later. it was heart-wrenching to read the article. sweet and sad. well at the end of the article these words were written:

work as if it was your first day
forgive as soon as possible
love without boundaries
laugh without control
and never stop smiling

pledge to self; practice this :)

open house hospital serdang

food food food!!!!!!!!!!!

writing this during the batch meeting, sorry batch! we had a fantastic time at hospital serdang, they had a raya open house for the hospital on the 3rd floor [ admin, audi and stuff ]. but listen here:
EVERY DEPARTMENT HAD THEIR OWN MENU

we didn't even need to go to the hospital today since we did not have anything on, but we decided to go since we haven't even attended a ward round for this week and we are kinda relaxed PLUS there was the open house. we attended the CME and hand over, but when we came out of the ward..

pergh, bau SATAY!!!!

and the fact that dr basir the HOD for ortho actually stopped people from doing the ward rounds to give the team the chance to eat before resuming. so we were kinda 'forced' to go :) i think the best was still the kambing and the mee kari, but here's some of the things we ate:

1. soto
2. kambing golek
3. cendol
4. satay
5. mee hun tomyam
6. ketupat palas and rendang
and loads more i can't remember..

tgk laa meena and vic enjoying the kelapa muda and the kambing bergolek golek king
so it was a gud gud day!
p/s: rugi laa my groupmates yg xdtg!

disasters in syawal

it's a wonder how knowing that another earthquake and tsunami has hit different parts of the world did not suprise me.
so far, there have been 569 casualties for the earthquake that hit sumatera yesterday afternoon
where else in samoa, there have been 100 casualties from the tsunami.
the death toll is rising.

i found out that one of our peadiatricians [ Dr. Khairul ] is already on the way there to volunteer. i'm not sure whether he is going under MERCY or any other NGO, but Allah protect him the whole way. if i could, i would be already on my way.

this sends me to a question that has been lingering in my mind for today. why are these natural disasters becoming more common? the number of natural disasters have increased four times more than it was a decade ago. is it one way of Allah sending us the message to stop fooling around with nature and to quit destroying mother earth? or is this some worldly payment for all the accumulative sins we've done? whichever one it is, it's scaring me to bits.
what we define as natural disasters could actually be man-made in disguise, revealed as time goes by and how much we keep destroying earths resources.

May Allah bless those whose family members and loved ones have perished and may He reward Paradise for all the victims and forgive their sins.
