SELAMAT HARI RAYA MAAF ZAHIR BATIN!

it's already the third day of hari raya, how times goes by so fast when ur having fun
my first raya was as usual, the night before we stayed up with mama until 3 am to make 'pergedel' and had to wake up for Solat Sunat Raya by 7.30am so you can imagine how tired i was..

my first raya usually goes like this, we go for solat raya, den rendezvous at Opah and Atoks house where we do our Salam rayas ( this year it was kinda short though and everyone had stuff to say to Bash coz she's going to UK soon, you can tell my whole family is very proud of her ). then we'll go off to nenek Chor's house to meet our other relatives. afterwards we'll go to Nenek and Yayis house to salam raya them and off to Langat to meet Opahs relatives!! i'm lucky to still have my grandparents on both sides and that they are very generous :) i'm the first cucu so i'm kinda pampered a lot..the downside was how papas car brokedown again ( for the umpteenth time in the last two weeks ) so we had to use the CRV, but no complaints there! it just ruined papas day~

on the second day of raya, we went to Atok Suhaimis house ( Opahs cousin ), then went to aunty Noras house where Nadiah was happy to meet Helinna and suprise suprise we went to........

IKEA!

yes, we went to Ikea to buy the open house stuff and bashirahs essentials before she heads of to UK, we were estatic! the conversation goes like this:

the adeks and me:" i don't wanna eat anythin at IKEA today i'm full"

a couple of minutes later at the cafe.....

" mama, i want the salmon, zayd, nadiah, bashirah and nawal want the meatballs!"

cakap tak serupa bikin.

the interesting fact about the raya in my family is that every house has a specific menu, opahs-soto, nenek chor-mee rebus,langat-lontong so we can't say no to them coz we know that they cook these dishes only once a year during Raya. so i have officially eaten enough food for one month..
where duit raya is concerned, i am actually looking forward to giving duit raya next year insyallah if i have started working. BUT as usual, i would kindly accept duit raya from others :)

p/s: love how communicating with my loved ones has evolved, especially 3G and MMS :)
