we were told by Prof Khai to be at the auditorium at 4.30pm coz the external examiners for pro exam 3 wanted to give us some advice but we were mistaken. it's actually for a forum between the external examiners, the lecturers and us. here are some quotes from there ( i have never seen prof Rashid this happy )
Faith and Medicine- Prof Najib Al-Hud, Pakistan ( very holistic but deep as well )
" it is the civilized population on the world, the educated that place us where we are today, the world of genocide, atomic bombs and bio terrorism"
" the triad: knowledge, skills and attitude"
" it must be the solid and absolute determination of one to change their attitude and it comes from faith"
" the triad: knowledge, skills and attitude"
" it must be the solid and absolute determination of one to change their attitude and it comes from faith"
"faith will determine my attitude as a Muslim Dr"- i think this is the best amongst all
How to do research- Prof. Aziz Nather, Singapore ( entertaining, yet inspiring )" a good supervisor is an experienced clinician, innovative and commited"
" don't do research alone, it is a strategic process"
" don't do research alone, it is a strategic process"
International collaboration in medicine- Prof Chin, Melbourne ( practise based vs EBM )
" every successful university will have a record of good international collaborations"
"we have to contribute together to be successful"
"we have to contribute together to be successful"
it was a very good forum indeed and inspiring since we were amongst experienced and dedicated professionals. so, anyone interested to doing research? ( i know i am! ), are the best people to be research assistants on our level and we should start now!
p/s: i have such an enormous bag, i don't even know whats inside now, keep dumping junk in :(
